Lebeau dining table with a wood top
Originally designed in 2003 and released by Cassina in 2017, this moderndining table features a smart shape crafted from multiple wood beams in a circular shape. It’s statement organic base connotes all the beauty of the natural world while showing off Cassina‘s master carpentry.
While the original’s dimensions and outline are maintained, solid wood becomes the material of choice for the base. Employing six hours, the intricate construction process harnesses the skills of Cassina’s carpenters, who oversee every stage of the process, to the potential provided by the latest and most innovative machinery. The base, on which sits the table-top, is composed of 22 staves derived from solid curved ashwood, slotted into two “crowns”, at top and bottom. The outcome is a stunning table, its personality rejuvenated, a veritable symbol of the extraordinary design by Patrick Jouin and the excellence of Cassina’s craftsmanship.
