Designed by Phillippe Starck, the Masters dining chair is one of Kartell’s most successful pieces of furniture. Paying homage to some of the most famous dining chairs in design, this modern dining chair features three distinct outlines finished in black, white, grey, mustard, rusty orange or sage green.
Masters is roomy and comfortable. Supported on slender legs, the back shapes of the 3 original designs are created by solid lines and voids which flow down and join together along the perimeter. Philippe Starck is a legend of modern design whose repertoire has left a permanent mark by producing some of the iconic shapes of the 20th century through his bold reworkings of everyday objects – from interiors to mass-produced consumer goods such as toothbrushes, chairs, and even houses.

Peninsula Dining Chairs
Felix is a glamorous and luxury restaurant located on the top two levels of The Peninsula Hong Kong, overlooking Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island. Felix was created in 1994 for The Peninsula Hong Kong by the prolific designer Philippe Starck– globally renowned for his distinctive avant-garde designs of myriad objects and spaces- everything from luxury furniture and tableware to yachts, hotels, and restaurants – an illustrious career now spanning over three decades.
When it first opened, Felix was a bold statement at variance with the Peninsula group’s perceived conservative style of luxury- its dramatically surreal interior evoking emotions of surprise, fantasy, and imagination. A testament to the unique creative genius of the Philippe Starckdesign is that 18 years later, this modern restaurant can still evoke the same exuberant responses from both first-time visitors, and the many repeat guests, and remains as fresh and inspiring as on its opening day.
