Today we will present you some very special modern dining tables, which were designed by Florian Schmid for Miniforms and they are called the Acco tables. These tables are a set of walnut wood tables with a delicate looking, but sturdy base. As you will understand in the photos, these tables are inspired by folding meter sticks. The inspiration came from one day when Florian left his meter sticks out in the rain, which created a unique angular shape.
This is the result of a simple object of our quotidian transformed into an amazing designed dining table.
As you can see here, the base of the table is very similar to those folding meter sticks that we all have.

The glass top of this amazing table gives a stunning effect looking from above. You can still see the meter sticks inspired base support but from a different perspective.
The slats of the base were all CNC milled to create a 2D shape, and then joined at the end, creating a tension that holds up the table. The legs are then expanded, like an accordion, to create a wide foundation.
Due to its flat look, the base has a fragile appearance. However, it is still strong enough to serve as a dining table.

The Acco tables are available in several different kinds of wood bases. You can choose a darker or lighter type of wood.
And of course, as we already have shown above, there’s also the option of choosing a wooden top as well, instead of glass.
The collection comes in all different sizes and heights, from side tables, to coffee tables, to dining room tables.
