Ocean Restaurant – A Luxury Restaurant Where Sea Is The Star

SInce 2011, Ocean restaurant has won two Michelin stars. The new executive Menu is called “Discovering Portugal” and it ensures to bring a new definition to the Portuguese traditional flavors. The chef Austrian Born, Hans Neuner is the leader of the kitchen, with a dedicated team working next to him.
This fine-dining restaurant is located at VILA VITA Parc Resort & Spa, in the heart of the Algarve, Portugal. Here, the sea and the beaches are one of the main stars, in the south of Portugal, so this luxury restaurant inspires its dishes in the involving culture, and in the local products.
The wine rack separates the room from the kitchen, is made of around 900 national and international references, that was carefully selected by Sommelier Ricardo Rodrigues. This collection is one of the largest private vintage wines collection in the Iberian Peninsula.
Oceanrestaurant is one of the most international luxury restaurants in the Algarve, because of all the awards gained over the years. Besides, Hans Neuner, the Chef that leads the kitchen, moved to the Algarve in 2007 to lead the gastronomic project of the Vila Vita Parc resort., and he was distinguished as “Chef of the Year”, in 2019.
This year the chef presented a tasting menu inspired by “typical Portuguese recipes collected from the south to the north of the country”. This is an encouragement to “discover Portugal”. Hans Neuner discovered first the Algarve and then the whole national country, and he absorbed a little bit of every place and its gastronomy. In all the dishes he serves, he tries to create a work of art, with humor and public warning messages, like the protection of the oceans,
The menu “Descobrindo Portugal” was created during the winter and during the period of time, theluxury restaurantwas closed. This menu was presented for the summer season, on the 1st of July. Each dish is a reference and evidences a specific region of the country. This menu costs 195 € and offers a wine pairing option, that costs 125€, it’s served by appointment from Wednesday to Sunday.
